FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I select multiple pages or ranges?

Use commas and dashes. For example, "1,3-5,8" extracts pages 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8. Spaces are ignored, so "1, 3 - 5, 8" works too.

What is the difference between Extract Pages and Split PDF?

Split PDF turns every page into its own file. Extract Pages produces a single new PDF containing only the pages you specified.

Will extracting pages reduce quality?

No. The extracted pages are byte-identical copies of the originals, including fonts, links, and embedded images.

Is there a page or file size limit?

You can upload PDFs up to 100 MB. There is no limit on how many pages you extract from within that file.

Extract Pages is the precision tool when you need just part of a long PDF. Maybe a contract has the clauses you care about on pages 12-14 and the appendix on page 47 — type "12-14,47" and you get exactly those pages in a new document, in that order. Pages can be reordered as you extract by listing them in a different sequence. The output is a clean, freshly written PDF that opens identically across every PDF reader.
