FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I add an image watermark?

The current tool supports text watermarks. Image-based watermarks (logos) are on the roadmap and will be available soon.

Can I change the watermark colour or position?

The default watermark is centred and diagonal at 30% opacity. Customizable position, opacity, and font size are coming in a future update.

Does the watermark appear on every page?

Yes. The watermark is stamped on every page of the PDF you upload, with the same text and styling.

Is the watermark removable from the output?

Watermarks added by mydearPDF are baked into the PDF rendering, so casual viewers cannot remove them. They can be edited out by someone with PDF editing software, like any other watermark — that is true for all PDF watermarks.

Watermarking is the simplest way to mark a document as a draft, work-in-progress, sample, or restricted distribution. mydearPDF puts a clean diagonal watermark on every page without affecting the readability of the content underneath. The watermark is rendered into the PDF page graphics, so it travels with the file even if recipients copy or print it.
