Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of mydearPDF. By using the service, you agree to them. We have kept the language as straightforward as possible.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing mydearpdf.online or using any of its tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
mydearPDF provides free, web-based tools to merge, compress, split, sign, rotate, watermark, unlock, and otherwise process PDF files. The tools run on our backend infrastructure and are accessed through your browser.
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We aim for high reliability, but we do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free processing, or specific output quality for every file.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use mydearPDF to:
- Process documents you do not own or have permission to modify (including unlocking PDFs you are not authorized to access).
- Process material that is illegal, infringing, or that contains malware or harmful code.
- Probe for security vulnerabilities, attempt to disrupt service availability, or evade rate limits.
- Resell, rebrand, or redistribute the service as your own without our written permission.
- Automate the service in a way that constitutes abuse, denial of service, or unfair use of shared infrastructure.
We reserve the right to block or rate-limit any user, IP address, or request pattern that we determine, in our discretion, violates these terms.
4. Your files and content
You retain all rights to the files you upload. mydearPDF does not claim any ownership over your content.
You are responsible for the legality and content of the files you upload. By using the service you represent that you have the right to process the files.
Files are processed and deleted within seconds — see our Privacy Policy for the full details.
5. Intellectual property
The mydearPDF brand, logos, design, code, and copy are the property of Audentix or its licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose; you may not copy, mirror, or republish the site or its assets without permission.
The underlying PDF processing engines (Ghostscript, qpdf, pdfcpu, pdf-lib, Sharp, and others) are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate for every input. PDF processing depends on the structure of each input file and may produce unexpected results in rare cases.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mydearPDF and its operators (Audentix, employees, contractors, and affiliates) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the service.
Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, which is zero, or (b) USD $100.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless mydearPDF, Audentix, and our staff from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Changes to the service
We are constantly improving mydearPDF. We may add, modify, or remove tools and features at any time. We may also retire endpoints or change behavior without prior notice if doing so is necessary for security, performance, or correctness.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of mydearPDF after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to Audentix’s place of registration, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
